Stuart L Arrested !!

img_1831Murder Mystery Night. Four suspects were put on trial, Tom the cake, Oli fingers ,Angus and Stuart. Only one had committed the dastardly deed. After visiting the murder scene the scout patrols were involved in a tense court room drama. Who had done it !click Here for photos

Malvern 2010

p1020306For the first time a team of King scouts, Angus, Grace, Amy and Duncan joined with teams from Buxted and entered the Malvern Challenge. On a scorching weekend in the Malvern hills over 400 teams entered in a series of challenges followed by a weekend of entertainments.

Kings of Speed

general-018Three Kings soapbox carts were entered in this year’s scout soapbox races. After many heats and hectic racing our best placed cart finished fourth. Special mention to some of our youngest scouts who made a great effort with their first homebuilt cart. Future champions!

Spring Camp at Buxted

copy-of-img_1303This years spring camp was held near Buxted ,over three days.  Scouts took part in a night hike along with a herd of cattle, rope crossings over a river ,and a spot of fishing. Training many of the new scouts in traditional camping skills . More photos to follow.

North York Moors

img_1246King scouts joined other scouts from Crowborough in a three day camping and hiking trip up the Yorkshire coast and across the moors including looking for fossils on the beach, fish and chips in Whitby and train journey on the North York railway.

Community Challenge

img_2397King scouts present Crowborough Parks warden Emma, with the bird box’s they made as part of their community challenge. The box’s will be put up in the Bluebell wood and Crowborugh town park.

Ashdown Hike Win

2009_0629ashdownhike0078A team formed from two King scouts, two Southon scouts and a Mayfield scout have won the Ashdown Incident Hike.

Beating nine other teams from the district on a very  testing weekend of rain ,winds and tricky incidents designed to test their skills and survial.
