The Ashdown District Swimming Gala took plsce on Saturday (6th March). With a pirate/nautical theme our team was named KING PRAWN and consisted of Angus Waters, Oliver Blunt, Cameron Bryant and Ryan Pither. With a small team they did a lot of swimming. The team came 5th overall. Joining up with the other Crowborough troops, for a combined Water Polo Team, they had the best winning score beating their opponants by 4 goals to Nil.
Well Done Guys, we didn’t win but we had great fun!!!

A team formed from two King scouts, two Southon scouts and a Mayfield scout have won the Ashdown Incident Hike.
Beating nine other teams from the district on a very testing weekend of rain ,winds and tricky incidents designed to test their skills and survial.
Looking forward to the Overland !
Just a reminder its not to late to enter the Ashdown Incident event this Sunday. A stroll across the Downs with fun packed incidents to test your scouting skills in teams of 4 or more scouts. This is a good event for younger scouts just starting out . We have one team , like to make two or more. Come and see the the leaders Thursday night, you won’t regret it !
Also we have a team for the 2 day Overland training, camping out down by the sea,who be joining us on Sunday.

The scouts have recently teamed up with Crowborough Park for their community challenge.
They cleared some of woodland and scrub to create new glades for next year.
They were also involved in the BBC tree o’clock to plant a new hedge in Crowborough cemetery.
